GalleryMuse artists exhibiting at Bedales

GalleryMuse would like to congratulate William Pullen, Mary Herdman, Emma Hartley and Anita Gallatley who have been selected for an exhibition celebrating the Arts & Crafts furniture designer and maker Edward Barnsley (1900-87) at Bedales School.

Pullen, Herdman and Hartley have previously been exhibited at GalleryMuse, and we are looking forward to working with Gallatley next season. All four artists have been inspired by the landscape of the South Downs. Barnsley’s workshop is still thriving in Froxfield today.

The exhibition will run from 10 October – 6 November 2014. For more info see Bedales Website.

GalleryMuse was delighted to welcome Roger Mavity on Sunday 27th October to talk on his experience of photography and the art of Virginia Arendt who is on exhibit with Tree at GalleryMuse.

Roger Mavity founded his own advertising agency, Mavity Gilmore Jaume, in 1981. After selling the business in 1991, he became Chief Executive of the Granada Group’s leisure division, and he led the pitch for the company’s takeover of the Forte Group – still the biggest hostile takeover bid in British commercial history. He then became Chairman of Citigate, one of the UK’s most respected financial PR companies, and then became Chief Executive of the Conran Group. He left the Conran Group in early 2013 to concentrate on writing and photography. His art photography has been exhibited in London, Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam, and he is a trustee of The Photographers Gallery. His first book,Life’s A Pitch, has become an international bestseller, and his latest book, The Rulebreaker’s Book of Business, comes out this August.
